Creativity

It's been a passion of mine since I started studying advertising at Syracuse University over 20 years ago.  The links below are related to creativity, or are just plain creative, in my opinion. Check them out. OH, and don't forget to check out my creative idea-generator, WATIZIT!

Dick Orkin's Radio Ranch

Dick Orkin is a great radio performer and makes his living as master of the humorous radio spot. He's perhaps best known as the mid-sixties icon, "Chicken Man," although as ubiquitous as his voice is on radio, most advertising people know him for his ad work.  His web site contains audio samples of some of his work, plus information on workshops and other events at the Ranch and elsewhere.  Dick's spots are always a pleasure, as is the man himself -- I had a chance to meet him a couple of years ago after having chatted with him online a number of times.  He's really a great guy doing innovative work.

Chatterbox

My wife Michele has put together a completely enjoyable fun site that celebrates humourous episodes, fine whines, and even a bit of serious introspection about living life in the new millenium. Chatterbox is several years old now, and Michele hasn't touched it it a while, sadly. What's really weird is that Skyenet keeps hosting the thing even though we cancelled her account well over two years ago!

Justin's Links from the Underground

This one's hard to describe, but there's this guy named Justin, who has literally poured his whole life out in a pretty fascinating series of pages. He uses the medium (the web) in an interesting way, and even though the thing kind of rambles around, I couldn't help getting pulled in. This is probably a matter of personal taste, so if you don't like it, don't blame me.  UPDATE:  Justin's site has become better and better, and although the personal stuff is still a very big part of it, there is also a sort of er, commercial aspect to it that I also kind of like.  The look has changed considerably, too. I don't think Justin removes ANYthing from the site, so I shudder to think how huge this site has become, for a personal site.  Fun as always.  One guy, recording every aspect of his life sounds like it would be sorta boring, but it definitely is not.  Justin is a very smart guy, obviously, so that helps a lot.
